Het gaat (eindelijk) gebeuren op:
Zaterdag 8 juni 2024
De familie-reünie!
Lieve mensen,
Graag ook even mobiele telefoonnummers erbij vermelden?

It's (finally) going to happen on:
The family-reunion!
Saturday the 8th of June 2024
Dear family,
It’s common for big(ger) families that they ususally meet under sad circumstances…
In order to change that we are (finally) planning a family reunion for everyone that stems from ‘Opa (Jacques) and Oma (Elizabeth) Leenders’.
To make it possible to consider this reunion in your holiday-planning for next year we inform you that the date for this event is on: Saturday the 8th of June 2024, starting at 14.00.
The location will be the garden of Hans and Femke Leenders in Boxtel (located near Den Bosch).
For the following day we intend to organise a ‘family tourist visit’ to Den Bosch.
Since our family is big and scattered around the world it’s difficult to reach everyone in person. Since we have your mail-address we would like to ask you to send this ‘save the date’ to to your brothers, sisters and (grand)children so they are informed as well.
We would like to know who can be present on the 8th of June 2024.
If everyone replies directly to us we can use all mail-addresses for further, more detailed, information and updates / a newsletter. We would also like to have all mobile-phone numbers in order to set up a family-group on Whatsapp.
Please mail all the requested information to: info@combasiq.com and include the names of your parents so we know where to fit the information in the ‘family tree’?
It’s a challenge to reach all relatives so we hope you can help us.
We look forward to see as many of you as possible on the 8th of June 2024!
Bas and Hans Leenders
Stay overnight?
Furtunately there will be plenty of drinks available…
As a consequence: Driving home / to a distant hotel might not be a wise decision. That is why there is the option to stay at the ‘mini-campingsite’ at the party location. All you have to take care off is a tent / mobile-home or (if you prefer minimalism) a solid cartboard box.
The number of pitches is limited so let us know a.s.a.p. if you would like to claim a spot? You van claim it in the contact-form or send us an email.
In and around Boxtel there are a few venues where you can stay.
If you rather sleep surrounded by ‘real walls and a solid ceiling’: You can find a list here.
If you want more options you can search in/around the city of Den Bosch.
Our (strong) suggestion:
It would be easier if most family-members book rooms in the Van der Valk Hotel in Vught / Den Bosch. If all relatives stay there it is easier to carpool (or rent a taxi) to and from the party. Website: https://www.hotelvught.nl/
Please take care of all bookings and payments yourself since we are busy organising a great party…
Pictures & stories
A big family has many, possibly ‘big’ stories to tell…
That is why we want to do something special with our heritage in the context of the Family-party.As you already expected: We need you to help us with that!
Do you know or have stories about our family?
Can you illustrate those with pictures and/or movieclips?
We would like to have those in order to compile a ‘document’ that will be available for all familymembers online (on this site) and in a tangible format.
Since we are all ageing (yep! you too!) we would like to secure the ‘Leenders-history’ for our progency. The ‘old stories’ should not be lost!
Please mail your stories, preferably completed with digital pictures (filetypes .jpg or .png) and videoclips (filetypes: .mov or .mp4), to Bas (info@combasiq.com).
We will make something special with your input.
Not sure if your contribution is useful? When in doubt, just mail it! We are suckers for ‘facts & figures’!

Pics from the past
Pics from the past
You have (old) family-pictures?
We would like to add them to the 'album'!
Please add the date and location & send them to us?
Old documents
An interesting document:
‘Familien Stammbuch‘.
All births were documented in this book (too bad it is written in German…).
Family facts & figures

Familytree
In the 'quest' to assemble the Leenders familytree we managed to go back to 1605. Unfortunately the is one person that blocks our way into a deeper history... If anyone knows more about: Lambertus Adriani (Ariens / Adriaans / Ariaens?)... Please inform us?!

International
As far as we know family-members were born 'all over the world': The Netherlands, Germany, Canada, Australia, Manilla, England, France. If we miss a country (or two): Please let us know?

Names
In the research for the familytree the names that appear the most are Johanna and Johannes.

Brothers and sisters
Hannah married Louis Vromans who was Frank Vromans' brother. Frank married to Hannah's sister Norah... After the war the brothers and sisters set sail to different parts of the world: Hannah and Louis moved to Australia, Norah and Frans to Canada.

Chemnitz
Oma came from Chemnitz (Germany). From 1953 to 1990 Chemnitz was called Karl-Marx-Stadt. The city is part of the Central German Metropolitan Region, and lies in the middle of a string of cities sitting in the densely populated northern foreland of the Elster and Ore Mountains, stretching from Plauen in the southwest via Zwickau, Chemnitz and Freiberg to Dresden in the northeast.

Traditions
In the past the careers for boys were pointed out. Our family doesn't differ from that: One became a priest (André), one became a doctor (Hans) and one was the business successor (Albert).
